With the Twilight: New Moon movie just hours away, we thought we’d cover what vehicles the main characters (not the actors, who’ve already seen the movie) will be arriving in. (Fashionably late, of course.)
Actually, Twilight author Stephanie Meyer did a pretty good job herself assigning cars to her vampires, werewolves, and palefaces ala humans. Apparently her brother is a major autophile like us.
Anyway, here are the vehicles:
Bella’s 1953 Chevy Truck. This, fans know, changes later in the series. And no, we’re not going to spoil why.
Edward’s Volvo S60R. Safe, yet flashy vehicle for such an old guy ala 100 years+.
Jacob’s Volkswagen Rabbit. How ironic he drives in what he normally preys on in wolf-form. (You did know he’s a werewolf, right?)

Our take? We’re Team Edward here, so thumbs up on the Volvo. As for Bella, we ditched the Chevy and replace it with a Ford F-150, America’s best-selling vehicle. And thumb’s down on Jake’s Rabbit. (From a distance, of course.) He screams a motorcycle, preferably a Harley.
Oh, wait….
Team Edward huh…does that mean you are fans of the Volvo or Edward? IDK…I only know the first book. While I love a Volvo, I have always been a sucker for the Rabbit but know nothing about Jacob….
And people wonder why I love Twilight..
