Car Auto Shows go Virtual

Thenewsmarket

It seems that the Internet is providing more and more ways for companies to promote their products in a more cost effective way.In recent weeks, automakers worldwide have cut back their participation in auto shows because of the costs. Now comes word that these companies may get relief and a platform for them to continue to show their wares on the internet.

A company called The NewsMarket (http://www.thenewsmarket.com) has developed a virtual auto show service which allows car companies to hold live press conferences and show off new model vehicles on the internet.

The company has been working with many of the world’s leading automakers including General Motors, Hyundai, Fiat, Porsche, Maserati, Volvo, Lancia, Renault, Land Rover, Alfa Romeo and more by providing them a platform for their video content which is viewed by more than 17,000 media outlets, blogs and mobile news providers in more then 190 countries.

Our take? Let’s hear it for the internet — hip, hip hooray; hip, hip hooray; hip, hip, hooray!
