Bugatti Veyron dumped by owner into Lagoon due to pelican

Bugatti Veyron Front

Some people should never be near a car. Especially if said car is a Bugatti Veyron supercar.

Case in point: A Texas man drove his Bugatti Veyron into a saltwater lagoon near Galveston Texas.

The Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest street-legal cars in the world, powered by an 8-liter W16 quad turbocharged engine that is capable of putting out more then 1000-hp. All this power makes the Veyron capable of going 0-60 in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of more than 250 mph. On top of this, the Veyron is also one of the most expensive vehicles in the world with a price tag of more than 1.7-million dollars.

Currently, only around 200 Veyrons exist worldwide with 15 of them located in the United States.

Okay, back to story….

The owner, who wishes to remain unnamed for a variety of reasons (wonder why), said he was distracted by a…low-flying pelican which caused him to jerk the wheel and veer off the road into the lagoon into 2 feet of salt water. (Really?)

Luckily, the man escaped the incident unharmed while the Veryon’s engine was said to continue to run for several minutes before finally dying.
