Biodiesel demand has Burger King crying Thief

Police With Alcohol Breath Test

The old television show “The Beverly Hillbillies” had a theme song that included the lyrics: “black gold, Texas tea” when referring to oil. That was way back in the 1960s. Now a days there is a new “black gold, Texas tea.” It’s cooking grease. And it seems that some future thinking thieves realize the value.

A man was recently arrested in a town south of Los Angeles for stealing cooking grease from a Burger King restaurant. The thief intended to convert the grease into biodiesel to use in his own vehicle to save on fuel or sell for a profit.

Here’s one thief who is concerned with commodity futures.
