Subaru, with its penchant for quirkiness, has distilled most of it out of the 2014 Forester, a crossover targeted right at the mainstream. With standard all-wheel drive, the new 2014 Subaru Forester is “one of the best in the game,” according to Jason Davis who recently drove the vehicle. While it has to compete in a very crowded category with vehicles including the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the Forester delivers.
On the dirt, the Subaru Forester was able to coast confidently at 60 mph. This is not a one-road vehicle and is “certainly better than the rest of the pavement-only queens in its market segment anyway,” continues Davis, who considers the new Forester a contender for best-in-class.
Taking a look inside the vehicle, the interior is an immediate hit. With wide seatbacks, the Forester exhibits comfortable lumbar support and enough headroom to be able to twist and turn and check all blind spots without any encumbrance.
