Our colleagues over at our sister company Motor Trend staged “The World’s Greatest Drag Race” last year, because what else are you going to do with more than $1.5 million in exotic cars, boasting more than 5,000 horses? The infamous drag race featured some of the greatest cars available in the United States at the time, including the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Audi R8 GT, and of course the quarter-mile winner, the Nissan GT-R. So how does one follow that up? You make “The World’s Greatest Drag Race 2!”
This year’s field featured some of the finest muscle cars, including the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500, Chevy Camaro ZL1, and of course a few super cars, such as the Lamborghini Aventador; McLaren MP4-12C; the 2012 Best Driver’s Car, the Porsche Carrera S; and of course, the Nissan GT-R. And while you may have seen the drag race itself, what you haven’t seen is what goes on before the race. There’s also a special, more raw version of the race, that you’ll just have to check out for yourself.
