Batman Themed Kia Optima to Show in New York

Kia-Optima-SX-Limited-Batmobile-front-three-quarter

When you think of the Batmobile, a Kia isn’t probably what comes to mind. Nevertheless, Kia has signed on to produce eight modified cars representing characters from DC Entertainment’s the Justice League. The cars will benefit “We Can Be Heroes,” a relief effort to fight hunger in the Horn of Africa. To fit Batman’s dark and mysterious personality, Kia gave the Optima SX a number of unique modifications. Most obvious may be the matte- and piano-black paint finish. The car was also lowered, given a body kit, and now rides on 20-inch custom designed black wheels. The front grille was shaped to look like a bat-wing, and yellow LED lights complement the aesthetic.

But it’s not only the exterior that gets the full bat-treatment—inside you’ll find black leather and suede with bold yellow accent stitching. Not overlooking any detail, the trunk is outfitted with a cape and full bat-suit (search for your Halloween costume no more!).  The Batman inspired Kia Optima will go on display at New York’s Time Warner Center this week.
