Democratic Party Presidential Nominee Barack Obama is making a major pitch to the rural regions of the U.S. Smart move. Apparently, Republican Party Presidential Nominee John McCain has said that not only would he have vetoed the 2008 farm bill but he opposes ethanol tax incentives and protection tariffs.
To fortify Obama’s arguments that he would be better for rural regions than McCain, a group called RuralVoters released 57 votes attributed to McCain on rural issues. The list claims that McCain has voted against appropriation bills that fund the Agriculture Department and also opposed disaster relief and agricultural research bills.
