First unveiled as a concept in the form of the TT Clubsport Quattro at a Austrian car event, the style may see low volume production in the form of a TT Clubsport Speedster.
The car, as typified by the designation, has a smaller chopped windshield and, more significantly, no roof to speak of. Flared wheel arches to accommodate larger wheels and tires in conjunction with the lower overall height of the car create a markedly different visual impact for the speedster.
Far from the high style of the TT, the car seem low, squat, and purposeful. Though any of the TT power trains are available to it, as a low volume, halo car look for the speedster to be powered by the most powerful motor in the range, befitting the speedster designation. Couple to a quattro system, or all-wheel drive, of course. This is an Audi.
Our take? TT good, speedster better. Especially for those of us in Southern California.
