Audi Recalls Q5 SUV For Shattering Glass Sunroof

2012-Audi-Q5-Front-Three-Quarter

If you sprung for the moonroof on your Audi Q5, you might want to sit down for this bit of news. Audi is recalling 13,172 of the luxo-utes for its glass sunroof that might break if it’s cold out. The sunroof doesn’t even have to be open. The Audi Q5′s sunroof could break whether it’s used or not, a victim of improper cold-weather testing. Falling glass is always a danger, so Volkswagen will replace all affected cars built from June 21 through December 9, 2011 with a glass cover that’s far more substantial. The recall will begin on August 7th, and owners will be notified at that point.

Concerned owners can contact Volkswagen at (800) 822-8987 with the recall number 60B2/L3. They can also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at (888) 327-4236.
