The Associate Press published in BusinessWeek.com reported that Audi plans to expand its line of models from the current number of 22 up to 40. (Pictured is the Audi R8).The automaker, which sold over 829,000 in 2005, predictes that it would sell about 900,000 cars by the end of 2006. The company’s November global sales were up more than 8 percent over last year’s figures. According to the article, the luxury brand plans to allocate over $15 billion through 2011.
Our take? More competition with more good is good. Audi and its owner Volkswagen, though, still need to improve the dealership buying experience and service which continues to get low markets from buyers.
