Usually if an all-new or heavily refreshed vehicle is slated for an official debut at an auto show, you can just about bet it will show its face early. Case in point: The 2014 Jaguar F-Type, which is scheduled to officially bow at the 2012 Paris Motor Show next week. This time though, Jaguar can’t take credit for showing off its new roadster early.
The image above was posted on Chris Doane Automotive LLC’s Facebook page and shows three F-Types lounging around. The image has since been removed but this is by far the best view we’ve gotten of the F-Type, and it comes in all of its production-ready glory. Doane claims to have posted the photo to Facebook after a misunderstanding with Jaguar. While automakers are never completely happy with new products leaking before an official debut, Jaguar should be able to sleep easy tonight knowing that we love how the all-new 2014 F-Type roadster looks.
With the camouflage finally off, it gives way to an uncensored look at the 2014 Jaguar F-Type. The front-end sports the regular Jaguar oval grille, with intake ports flanking either side. In keeping pace with many luxury automakers and its use of LED lights, the all-new F-Type employs LEDs in the headlights, which are swept back up the front fenders. While you can’t see it in the photo above, a new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 and a 5.0-liter V-8 engine will be available for service under the hood. Each engine is rated at 340 and 380 horsepower, respectively.
