Rather than being the ones who flubbed it up, this time China is on the receiving end.
Nissan China has issued a recall involving 431 Infiniti G35s in China to fix the airbag sensor system on the passenger side. A sensor located in the passenger seat cushion may suppress the deployment of the airbag and fail to provide adequate protection in the event of a crash.
So far, there have been no accidents or injuries related to the problem.
Nissan will provide inspection and maintenance free of charge and replace the offending seat cushion if necessary.
