But now that hybrid project is in trouble. Motor Authority reports that BMW is talking to other automakers. Meanwhile, Daimler wants the partnership to continue. Aparently BMW doesn't feel Daimler is either pulling its weight in the project, or it needs more (whatever "more" is) than its rival can provide.
Daimler has been moving quickly to develop a fully electric car and has shown that electric is its future. So a cut in ties with BMW over hybrids may not have that much of an adverse affect as many might think.
