These pics show that the LF-A has gone through some changes from previous incarnations with the front-end displaying a larger front air-dam and prominent cheek vents. Air intakes on the B-pillars for the rear mounted radiators are different then on previous prototypes, while the rear bumper has a few changes as well.
The LF-A is rumored to be powered by a 550 horsepower 4.8 liter V10 engine and is expected to make its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.
Our take? With the demise of the Supra, Celica and MR2, Toyota has shifted its focus from performance to luxury and fuel-efficiency. Hopefully the LF-A will silence critics to show that Toyota is still able to make great cars that can go fast.
