The cut-throat world of the automobile industry has rapidly become the world of peaceful co-existence between the players. There is actually cooperation between brands that were major rivals only a few years ago.
The latest world carmakers to appear to be playing nice are Volkswagen and Suzuki Motors. Reuters that the two are thinking about a deal to produce a new model for VW that is below the mini cars based on the Up! concept.
Suzuki is offering ultra small vehicles in Japan right now where the brand is ahead of Nissan. Suzuki is also doing well in emerging markets like India.
The possible deal between VW and Suzuki would call for the German carmaker to take 10 percent stake in the Japanese company.
