This year marks the second season for the Volkwagen Jetta TDI Cup Series.

The series, which returns to the North American region at the end of April, will include 30 B5 diesel-powered cars. B5 is a mixture of 95 percent gas and 5 percent biofuel.

There will be 10 events on eight road courses throughout North America in the Cup Series which begins at the Virginia International Raceway on April 24. The race cars will consume about two tanks of B5 during racing conditions and overall emissions is said to be reduced by 2,583 pounds.

Hyperfuels, a Houston, Texas based company, will be supplying the B5.
