The vehicles were recalled due to a faulty electrical connector in the optional Blind Spot Detection System. This could cause a number of problems, the most dangerous of which is a potential fire should the connector overheat.
Around 13,000 vehicles have been affected. Dealerships will resolve the issue free of charge. At the time of this writing, no accidents or injuries have been reported to the automaker or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
