Toyota, Honda look to store Car Parts

It is becoming more than crystal clear to automakers like Toyota and Honda that a bankrupt General Motors or/and Chrysler would affect their ability to get the parts they need to construct their own vehicles.

So the two companies have decided to modify their “just-in-time” manufacturing system to assure that bankruptcies in other segments of the industry would not hamper their ability to build their vehicles.

Toyota said that it may work with more parts suppliers and increase the inventory of parts it has on hand. Analysts say such stockpiling could be costly and raise car prices until the companies adjust to the new reality.

Thats the good thing and the two companies are manufacturing auto parts for many years. But in this they are combining and going to give more good and advantage products.
