2010 Kia Soul floats up at 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show

Kia Motors Co. unveiled the production versions of the all-new Kia Soul at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.

My impression? Boxy microvans, apparently, are the newest trend.

The 2010 Kia Soul joins other squarish compact crossovers including the all new Nissan Cube and the reigning leads Scion xB and xD. Like those vehicles, the Soul is aimed at the Gen Y market. Thus, buyers will have a plethora of customization options include sun roofs, custom body graffics, mirrors, and grills.

Mileage information sounded comparable to the competition. Pricing informatin was not released though should be in the teens. (How appropo). The Soul is scheduled to go on sale Spring 2009.

More to follow.

I myself am not sure what the appeal is of the Scion, but the Kia Soul has really caught my eye. This is definitely a vehicle that I would buy for my kids to drive(the price's of the Kia's makes them more appealing).
