The successor to the P-51A (obviously) of now obsolete Ford Mustang 2007 vintage, the P-51B couples a 510 hp, 510 lb-ft of torque supercharged V8 to a nameplate taken from arguably the greatest warbird of any era.
The Roush P-51B sports a contemporary bodykit, altogether at odds with the retro lines of the current pony car. Not bad looking, but far from the beauty that is the original P-51.
Pricing starts at $65,800 and will be limited to 51 units. Fear not, however, if you cannot get one: the wartime P-51 peaked with the introduction of the bubble canopied P-51D. No doubt, Roush will capitalize on such a fact with another 102 special edition Mustangs.
