No one can challenge Volvo on its safety record. It has had internal programs and major R&D to come up with some of the safest vehicles on the planet.

Now comes word that they are working on auto design and silhouette.

The company is using one of the world’s most advanced wind tunnels to test the designs and shapes of its new vehicles. Volvo is the first car maker in the entire world to actually own a wind tunnel. The company, due to its wind tunnel tests, changed the shape of its S40 and V50's front spoilers, underfloor panels, roof and tailgate/hood lid as a result.
