Hyundai, with its most expensive offering to date in the Genesis, hopes to lure into its fold those individuals who would have otherwise made their first “upscale, luxury car” purchase. Though the car has yet to garner the sort of success, it has proved to be a success none the less.
What do we mean? Well, according to Leftlane News, Genesis has proved to be popular with buyers who are making their next high end car purchase. Odd as it may seem, the car has found favor with those who've typically shopped for the likes of the German brands or the top tier Japanese and American luxury brands. The combination of comparable luxury, amnesties, with a reasonable price provided by the Genesis is a strong draw when taking into account the cost of ownership of other makes.
The lack of an established badge is still proving to be a hurdle.
Our take? A testament to the qualities of the Genesis that owners would take a perceived “down grade.”
