Do you remember the Cadillac Cimarron? It was a Cadillac version of a compact car that traversed the streets of this country in the early 1980s. It didn’t last very long. We guess back then a so-called compact wearing a Cadillac badge was an oxymoron.
Now comes word that Ford's Lincoln brand may be considering a smaller model for the luxury brand.
Pundits say that Lincoln can fill a slot in its product line with a smaller car right below the MKZ sedan. But, as we reported, earlier this year, Ford's Mercury line is suppose to offer compacts. This was reiterated by Lincoln Product Manager, Derrick Kuzak, brought up the possibility that Mercury will take the smaller cars into its staple.
