Did Nissan Lie About GT-R Speed?

The Nissan GT-R has taken the automotive world by storm with its incredible ability to match the pace of cars costing far more -- and with nameplates -- to match.

Some are now saying that it may have been too good to be true. One automotive magazine recently tested another GT-R and was unable to match the performance of their preproduction versions.

Were the faster cars ringers? Though dyno testing wasn't possible on their slower model, it does beg the question if Nissan lie about the car's power. Nissan, for its part, is sticking by its numbers.

Our Take? The performance was exceptional, but if anything, the GT-R has always over-delivered. Let's not doubt Nissan just yet.
