Tata Motors, the Indian car maker who became a worldwide player with the recent purchase of Jaguar and Land Rover from troubled American automaker Ford, is biting the bullet.
Due to a drop in sales of Land Rovers, the company is “redeploying” about 300 workers at a plant in Halewood, Great Britain and at the main Land Rover production center in Solihull, Great Britain. Also reported that 300 workers were transferred from Solihull to the Jaguar plant in Castle Broomwich.
