Toyota FJ Cruiser and Supra. Dead for Now

In a recently published timeline of Toyota's future plans, the successor to the FJ Cruiser is no more and the long wait will continue for the next generation Supra.

The drop in sales for SUVs and less than efficient cars (like a Supra sports car) has seen Toyota change its direction. Though some may question why some other SUVs were not given the axe, it's likely more a byproduct of these vehicles already having begun their development cycles or being derivatives of common chassis.

Keep in mind however, manufacturers can still change their plans in reaction to new scenarios. There is still an outside chance of seeing these models once more.

Our take? Whatever passion may have been introduced by these two models to the staid Toyota lineup is gone. Let's hope some of the other models can pick up the slack

I initially liked the FJ when it came out. But for whatever reason, FJ drivers seem to be some of the most aggressive and rude on the road! Most Toyota drivers drive like grandma, but FJ drivers drive like maniacs!
