GM Recalling 2008 Chevy Express and GMC Savana

General Motors is issuing a recall of the 2008 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles.

The faulty part in the transfer case can cause an early failure in the drive chain. Should the chain break, shifting the transmission to park may not anchor the vehicle stationary. Potentially 151 units are thought to be afflicted for the 4-wheel drive models.

Our take? One thing after another, GM just isn’t getting a bone. Normally, a relatively minor recall like this wouldn’t be an issue. However, considering GM’s financial straits, it’s like being bitten by a mosquito who takes that extra drop of blood you need after a vampire has been at you.
