Hybrids go from Green to Lemon

So, what was the first non-gas "lemon" car (i.e., a complete piece of junk)?



No, it wasn’t a Toyota Prius, though by sheer quantity alone it could very well have been.

Apparently there is some car called the Dynasty IT built by Dynasty Electric Car Corporation that takes the gold for this one. It does not exceed 25 mpg and has a range of 30 miles with a curb weight of 1450 lb.

The Dynasty IT, according to consumer complaints, has an underperforming range of 16 miles, battery wires that melt, and a faulty brake cables.

This isn’t a huge issue as most people have probably never heard of this car, but, uh, our condolences to anyone who bought one.

This doesn't sound like a hybrid, but a plug-in electric. Regardless it sounds pretty pathetic.

16 miles! I could get half way to work, stop, plug-in my vehicle for a couple hours then get be on my way. Hope my boss understands
