Likely to be given a “Spec C” designation, the car should follow in the footsteps of previous models by being lighter, with better running gear, and exclusive. Previous versions had changes ranging from better brakes, to bespoke suspension bits and tuning, to tweaked motors and transmission, and the all important roof scoop.
Unfortunately, it seems that this development car doesn't have a roof scoop and, worse still, probably won't be reaching our shores.
Our take? The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec-C (that would in fact be the official designation, no?) will likely be as quick as its name is long. If we can't even get Recaro seats in our STI, don't count on getting a hotter, more tricked out version.
