Despite talk that the sale of SUVs was plummeting, General Motors has hired about 450 temporary workers and recalled laid off workers to man a plant that makes SUVs.
The plant is located in Moraine, Ohio. It go through a scheduled shut down starting on June 28 and lasting to July 14. After the break, the temps will go through intense training program before normal production will resume on July 21.
This plant has been slated for closure in 2010 or sooner. The Moraine plant usually employs about 2,400 hourly workers. via ReportonBusiness
