According to Leftlane News, Ford, having already told suppliers to cease development of parts for the motor seems almost certain to have let the program die completely.
So what was this V8? Set to be the reincarnation of the legendary Boss nomenclature, the motor was to displace 6.2 liters (approximately 378 cubic inches for the Americans in the crowd) and be the motor of choice for Ford's largest vehicles. Perhaps even more disappointing for we auto enthusiasts is that a 5 liter (302 cubic inch) variant was set to be placed under the hood up the Mustang.
Our take? High gas prices strike again.
