In March, Volkswagen acquired 68.6 percent of voting rights and 37.73 percent of capital rights of Scania. As usual, the European Union's European Commission had to give its blessing after verifying no anti-trust laws were broken. There were none:
Scania and VW are in different markets, i.e. no passenger cars or light trucks.
