Are you interested in finding out if your city commute is the worst in the country? Log on to http://scorecard.inrix.com/.

Developed by INRIX, a Seattle, Washington-based company that monitors traffic congestion, the site ranks the worst cities as far as traffic is concerned. They base their list on a scorecard that takes into account micro matters of traffic problems.

The top 10 most congested cities according to INRIX are:

  1. Los Angeles (No shock there)
  2. New York (Ditto)
  3. Chicago (Ditto)
  4. Washington, D.C. (Ditto)
  5. Dallas-Ft. Worth (Ditto)
  6. San Francisco (Really? Even with BART?)
  7. Houston
  8. Boston
  9. Seattle
  10. Atlanta

The site also identified the worst traffic day as Friday. Surprise, surprise. The worst week day commute is Friday evening. during commuting hours from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Worst morning commute is Wednesday.

Besides listing the worst cities as far as traffic congestion is concerned, the site also identifies the total hours spent in traffic, the worst day of the week for a commute, average speed for the top 100 cities in the U.S. and more.
