Pedestrians all around the celebrity haunts of Malibu and Rodeo Drive can breathe a heady sigh of relief. Pamela Anderson has finally decided to sell her 500hp V-10 custom Barbie Dream Car, oops, we mean 2001 Dodge Viper.

Proceeds from the notoriously phallic shaped roadster will go to Ms. Anderson’s favorite charity PETA—People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Wait a minute. It is still Ms. Anderson right? She hasn’t gone and married another notoriously phallic shaped rock star again has she?

While many are left to ponder Pamela’s choices in husbands, there is no doubt that the “actress” is devoted to the message PETA delivers. Although we do have to wonder as to why Pamela would drive a sports car that comes with leather seats as standard. Last time we checked leather was the “treated” skin of cows removed from their bodies in a less than “ethical” fashion.

Fans of the top heavy starlet can take comfort in knowing that she, and her old Viper, will feature prominently in a new E! channel reality TV show titled “Pam: Girl on the Loose.” One can only hope that it is as better crafted a program than the vacuous and inane “Living La Vida Lohan” which airs on the same network.

In a rare moment of personal clarity, Ms. Anderson admitted that such a powerful car was probably not a good fit for the notoriously flighty blonde. “I am a terrible driver,” she said. “It’s just not a good idea for me to have a Viper.”

Our view? While Pamela Anderson may be famous more for her ability to “jiggle” while jogging down a beach, we applaud her efforts to protect the rights of our four legged furry friends.

What is this? All the negative comments coming from the same person. Boy, he must be very envious of Viper owners, he wished this car is gone for good!
