The diminuative auto, unique with its forward door that allowed users to park straight into a curbside space and step out, the new Isetta would provide BMW a way to meet stringent emissions and economy standards worldwide without diluting its hard earned sporting reputation.
How? Likely to be powered by small, fuel sipping gas and diesel motors, there's also the possibility of an all-electric variant. BMW has also mentioned a possibility in the cooperation with another maker, like Mercedes-Benz ith its own Smart, to help defer development costs.
Little detail is still known. However, what is known for sure though is that the Isetta trademark door will not be making a comeback.
Our take? It just won't be an Isetta without the use of the front opening door.
