Previously known for its car audio speakers, Bose will be offering a full fledged car audio system that includes navigation, hands-free phone use, satellite radio and voice command.

The Bose Media System features just about everything from a 30-gigabyte hard drive for the storing of 200 CDs to proximity detectors which sense when the user is reaching for the control knobs. The total system can be controlled by working just a few buttons on the radio.

Bose plans to sell the system to other auto manufacturers like General Motors. The company already is providing speakers to a variety of auto makers including Cadillac.

The first full blown system will appear on the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.
