Rumors of a supercharged, 500 horsepower motor, coupled with the style of the XF, and more importantly, Jaguar's newfound chassis tuning prowess should see the XF-R mark the brand's return to the all-out sporting nature of cars not seen since the demise of their original E-type. Where previous cars could sometimes be great motors with decent chassis, the latest Jags have upped their sportiness with BMW like chassis abilities, lighter weight, better transmission, and the same wonderful motors.
Look for the car to add some aggression to the XF shape, likely in the form of revised side sills, more intakes, a diffuser, and bigger wheels.
Our take? It doesn't look like a traditional Jag, but it could the perfect blend of sporty luxury that the brand has been close to in recent years.
