Chrysler realistic about car sales

Seemingly flying in the face of convention, Chrysler actually recognizes the fact that the sales of its Challenger are likely to follow the pattern of sport coupes of recent memory, namely that sales will be strong initially only to taper continuously till the end of the model.

Our Take? Gasp! Some common sense! (Are you listening, Hyundai?)

Expecting to sell up to 30,000 Challengers annually, Chrysler has further thrown the public for a curve by stating that they've actually planned for the inevitable and have  a business model in place for the model to ensure profitability even sales taper.

Initially offered only in limited edition SRT trim, the Challenger is soon to be offered in both V-6 and standard HEMI variants.

Our take? Chrysler's plans make sense as the company rebuilds its consumer base with more products. Still hoping, though, for a Dodge Viper replacement in the future.
