Like previous VW 'Ring racers, the car boasts Volkswagen's trick dual-clutch DSG gearbox, and a version of 2.0 liter FSI turbo I-4 making a stout 300 horsepower.
VW's commitment to making the Scirocco a sporting model within its lineup will likely cause the trickle down of some of the go fast bits and styling for the current road model, at least for those outside the US anyway.
Our take? A cool car for a cool track, and yet another cool item that won't see our shores.
