Mini Cooper does the (Italian) Job

That's Mini as in the original, as we're sure all you auto connoisseurs know. Because when it's in all CAPS, it is in reference to the new BMW MINI.



Anyway, as if being the namesake for the “mini” skirt wasn't enough of a symbol to the iconic nature of the original, a survey by Uniroyal of more than 2,000 film fans found the Mini's role in the original “talian Job" to be unequaled.

Second through fifth on the list were KITT of Knight Rider fame (original series, not the Mustang of today's series); 007's Aston Martin Vanquish (of course); the Volkswagen Love Bug; and the oh so unique time traveling DeLorean of the "Back to the Future" series.

Our take? Figures that such a universal and classless car would strike a chord with voters
