General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz has stated that current plans seek to introduce the hybrid in such areas, no doubt to create some sort of buzz for the car, and to also capitalize on the penchant for such markets to be early adopters.
Our take? For all you out there who take offense to GM's comments, don't. Car companies have no idea what their talking about in terms of markets. Take Scion for example, designed to be a youthful brand to bring new buyers into the Toyota fold.
Most purchased by people outside of that demographic.
Unfortunately, it doesn't change the fact that you will not be able to pick up a Volt at your locl dealer unless you reside in those areas.
