Jaguar, Land Rover to use non-Indian parts. For now

While it's big news that Land Rover and Jaguar were recently sold to Tata Motors, more interesting is the fact that Indian components will not be making it into the two newest subsidiaries just yet.



Sify reports that a high number of hand-crafted parts, and the additional safety features that are less necessary on slower Indian roads, bar the way to immediate integration. Plans over at Tata are already under consideration on how to best integrate existing technologies to streamline efficiency from both company and brand.
