Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution moves Down Market

Ok, that's not necessarily true since that nameplate won't be used. However to say that the Lancer is moving up market would be unfair to the new offering.

Turbo charged, electronic trickery resides within the new Lancer Ralliart in much the same way as the Evolution above it. There's less power at “only” 235 horsepower, there's no active yaw control but the active center differential remains, and the car even gets the paddle shift transmission of the top offering Evolution MR.

It looks are closer to the normal Lancer than the full on, in your face Evolution, but there are the obligatory little visual tweaks and details to ensure that it will not be mistaken for a basic Lancer.

Our take? Yes please! And Subaru, the one time loner WRX now has a playmate; a faster, more powerful, arguably better looking playmate.
