The basics of the car prove to be much the same. A big interior crammed into a small exterior, practicality, economical power trains, a reachable pricing.
The car does gain a bit more power, and a bit more size and space (though without changing to the extent of the Scion Xb), but the most noticeable differences lay in the sheet metal.
Though the car seems a fairly fresh design here in the US, the car had in fact been on offer elsewhere for a years. Honda therefore “pushed” the looks of the next generation Fit. The headlamps are larger and more expressive. The car has been rounded, but similarities remain in the general silhouette , and the fender flare-like crease over the rear wheel. Larger rear lights and detailing help to make the car seem less narrow and tippy.
All-in-all, it would seem that Honda chose not to mess with success.
Our Take? Appearances seem to be the most significant difference so all of the Fit good qualities should shine through.
