NEW YORK, March 19, 2008 – For Bri-Tech, an innovative New York company built around connectivity, the Ford Transit Connect is the ideal transportation technology.

Founded by Brian McAuliff, a self-confessed “geek,” Bri-Tech is a leading custom integrator of high-end electronics for homes and businesses.

At 23 years old, McAuliff decided to start a technology consulting firm, establishing his place of business in his parents’ basement on Long Island. He eventually could afford to expand his offerings with and audio/video business, moved out of the basement and brought in his two younger brothers, Mark and Michael, to help him run the company.

Today, the three McAuliff brothers have a 12,000-foot facility in their native Long Island with a staff of 40 people. Every year, Bri-Tech handles more than 200 corporate installations and 50 home installations.

“We service corporations in Manhattan, Long Island and New Jersey, and we work with luxury homes from the Hamptons to upstate New York,” explains McAuliff. “When gas prices go up, we feel the pinch. The Transit Connect will help alleviate some of those costs with its fuel economy.”

Beyond fuel efficiency, McAuliff is impressed with the Transit Connect’s design.

“Our vehicles are our calling cards,” says McAuliff, explaining that potential customers notice Bri-Tech vehicles more than the company’s magazine ads.

“Our trucks are an important part of our marketing efforts, and we spend a lot of time designing them,” he said. “The Transit Connect is great because it is hip and contemporary, versatile and professional-looking. It will set us apart from the competition.”

The team at Bri-Tech upgrades its technologies and software whenever they become available. Transit Connect is one more upgrade they’re looking forward to.

This looks like it should get at least 35 mpg? Am I close?
