Chevrolet Corvette C6RS debuts at Sebring topless

Pratt & Miller may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of Corvettes (especially fast ones), but being responsible for the recent (and very successful) racing program lends them a certain credibility when it comes to modifying Corvettes.

The latest offering, the C6RS, a carbon-fibered, big brake, racing suspension, 8.3 liter 600 horsepower 600 lb-ft of torque powered homage to their race car is a true super car.  Pratt & Miller then used last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring to unveil a convertible version.

Priced at $185,000, and that does not include the cost of a donor car, and is in fact more expensive if the donor car is not a Z06, is by no means cheap. Stellar performance, good looks, and racing pedigree do much to at least give the car a chance that many do not have.

Our take? Considering the stock performance of a Z06, the extra cost of the Pratt & Miller conversion may seem excessive, until you realize these guys are the same ones who turn Corvettes into world class race cars.
