General Motors combines Buick luxury, hybrid in China

China continues to be an important partner for General Motors.



The world's largest automaker and Chinese automotive partner Shanghai Automotive Industry unveiled their first Chinese-made hybrid car last month. It is a

Named the Buick LaCrosse Eco-Hybrid, the sedan is supposed to have a fuel economy of 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers, or over 28 mpg. The non-hybrid version has a fuel economy of 24 mpg.  

It is expected that the car will be at dealerships sometime this year. Our take? Shouldn’t the hybrid have the higher fuel economy?
