As more and more manufacturers commit to bring diesels to America, rumors now persist that Acura's next generation TSX will be powered by Honda's 2.2 liter i-DTEC diesel power plant.

Unlike its competitors, Honda's new i-DTEC motors will be able to meet the latest, stringent emissions requirements around the world without the use of urea injection or any other similar means. Instead, they use an innovative, proprietary catalytic converter that achieves the same thing.

The likelihood of this happening increases as the next Honda Accord (our TSX) will be introduced specced as such.

Our take? Clean diesel without having to worry about a system that needs refilling? Sign us up.
