When something major goes wrong with a car, there can be some major consequences. People can be hurt, maimed, or even killed. During 2007, we have seen our share of such incidences and, in many cases, the manufacturer involved or the government agency who has the job to oversee that such things do not happen failed us miserably.

Consumer Affairs covered ten of the worse for 2007. They included everything from airbags not deploying during an accident to flying spark plugs to brake failure.

A full description can be found at the link above. Our take? We're extremely pleased with CA's thoroughness and urge owners of the above vehicles to take them in as soon as humanly possible. And we know the automakers are especially keen in designing future cars as safe as possible since, to be blunt, their bottom line (i.e., profits) could easily see red.
